Forgiving those who do evil against us

And Joseph said unto them; fear not: for am I in the place of God? But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive. Now therefore fear ye not: I will nourish you, and your little ones. And he comforted them, and spake kindly unto them. ~ Genesis 50:19:21 KJV

~ Can we truly forgive those who do evil against us? Joseph was a great example of how he forgave his brothers and loved them even after they hated him and did many evil things towards him.

He was sold as a slave, then later was thrown in prison and many years later he opened his house to receive and feed his family in a time of famine. That is unconditional love and forgiveness towards his family. We also know this as “grace”.

Think about this…Jesus is hated, he was thrown in to captivity, and after he ascended to his position of royalty he forgave all the evil that we did to Him. He opened his house in heaven to feed us and take care of us. Thank you Jesus!
