Sinner vs Sanctified

Are you a sinner or sanctified? We have always been taught that we are lowly sinners and we must repent and we must do it on a daily basis. Let’s look at what the word of God says about you!

And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God. 1 Corinthians 6:11 KJV

For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren,… Hebrews 2:11 KJV

Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law. Romans 3:28

In the webster’s online dictionary the word justified means to judge, regard, or treat as righteous and worthy of salvation. Clearly the scripture is telling us that we are righteous in God’s eyes. We are sanctified through faith, it has nothing to do with following the law of Moses and it’s 613 or so ordinances to be right with God. You are righteous, holy, justified, and sanctified because you accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior. Period!

You don’t have to do anything extra to be more Holy than you already are. You are the temple of the living God and His presence lives in you. Meditate on that for a while and then you will realize how perfect you are in God’s eyes. You can’t get any more holy than your body having the presence of God in you.

What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 KJV

When Christians are taught the truth in who they really are…look out! Something amazing happens in a person and they really start to act and talk like Jesus. Each day that we renew our minds with the truth that is in the bible and not some religious doctrine in a denomination we become more and more like him. We are already like “HIM” (Jesus) but the problem is many people were never taught that truth.

Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world. 1 John 4:17 KJV

We are like him in this world! WOW! Selah…pause and mediate on that truth and you will see the power and love of God flowing in you daily.

You are a new creation in Christ and when a person knows their nature they don’t act in an opposite way. For example: a dog barks because that is his nature and a cat meows because it is it’s nature. A person that used to sin was a sinner because that was their nature. A sanctified person is Holy because that is their nature. That doesn’t mean they will never sin. A person still needs to renew their mind to what their true nature is. Once that is understood, then you see the sanctified nature more and more each day.

Be blessed and know that you are not a sinner anymore. That is not your nature!
