The Comforter

And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgement: of sin, because they believe not on me; of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more; of judgement, because the prince of this world is judged. John 16:8-11

~ Repove in the Webster dictionary says to scold or correct usually gently or with kindly intent. The Holy┬áSpirit helps us in so many ways. He is kind with us and he uses the word to correct. This doesn’t mean you will never feel uncomfortable. When he speaks truth to our heart we may feel chastised. But it’s the word cutting through us showing us the intentions of our heart. Hebrews 4:12 describes the word like a two edged sword that pierces and divides the soul and spirit. Ouch!

But you know what? It’s because we are loved! He wants to protect us and keep us from harms way. Let the teacher teach you well and you will be presented as a bride that is Holy and without blemish to our groom (Jesus).
