The power of our words

And the inhabitant shall not say, I am sick:… ~ Isaiah 33:24 KJV

~ Can you see there has always been “power” in our words? This is an Old Testament scripture and it showed how we as God’s children should not speak what we actually are feeling. We must remember we are created in God’s image.

And God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: (Gen 1:16)

God spoke everything into existence. He said “Let there be light” and there was light. For 6 days he spoke things in to creation. So we are “like” Him. We need to be careful with our words so we don’t give power to the bad things that are happening in our life. Not just with sickness.

In that scripture Isaiah told the people not to say they were “sick”. How many times do we share that kind of news with other people? Let’s speak blessing over ourselves and others. Bless, not curse as the bible says. If we feel sick or pain, praise God it’s going away and experience the power of your words. God always proves His word. It doesn’t return void!
