The Spirit of the Lord is Upon Me

The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the broken hearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord. ~ Luke 4:18-19 KJV

How do you read or receive these scriptures? Do you read them as something that happened to Jesus? Or do you read them and apply these words to yourself? The answer is that you should do both because it is the whole truth. Jesus was anointed to preach the gospel but so are you! Everything that it says there is meant for you as well. Jesus is our example and everything that he did was to show us what is possible to him that believes.

I woke up one morning and these words were in my heart. I received them gladly and felt very special because I am. You are too! You are precious to the Lord and the more you receive his truth with an open heart – He is pleased. When we are born again we must become like little children. Children are pure and speak the truth. They trust their parents and listen to their every word. Listen and do are two different things but I am most certain Jesus wants you to do both. 🙂

You have been equipped to do everything it says in those scriptures. Your manual is the Bible and your job is to learn it and share it with others to bring them into the Kingdom of God. Hold on to him and seek him daily. He is filled with wisdom and is always ready to answer your questions. He loves you! ❤️
