Once For All

By which we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. ~ Hebrews 10:10 KJV

Recently, we went over offerings and sacrifices and how God is not looking for these types of actions from us. He never was. We discovered He merely wants a personal relationship with us and out of the overflow of this relationship other things happen. Because we have received so much from Him we want to give back. We may desire to serve in the church, miraculous things happen, people are healed and so forth.

But all of this is possible because Jesus made ONE sacrifice for us all. He became the lamb that was offered to God. Through this sacrifice we have peace with God, the enemy is under our feet and we can walk in power to do God’s will on earth and touch others with this amazing love he gave us.

So as we put our faith in what Jesus did on the cross we do not need to fulfill the 10 commandments. We do not need to keep the sabbath and all the requirements. First of all, the Law of Moses was given to Israel, the chosen people of God. The rest of the world has been adopted and we were welcomed into the family of God. We are not looking to our works to be holy and righteous. We are looking to Jesus and because of this trust we place in Him, we are also made holy and righteous. The ten commandments are summed up in two scriptures Jesus gave us and they are wrapped in love.

Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. (38) This is the first and great commandment. (39) And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. (40) On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. ~ Matthew 22:37-40 KJV

Love God and love people are your new commandments. This is only possible when you receive God’s kind of love. Through Him is the only way you can love someone without looking at their faults or holding it against them. ❤️ We can love them unconditionally.
