Truth vs reality

And they came to him, and awake him, saying, master, master, we perish. Then he arose, and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water: and they ceased and there was a calm. Luke 8:24

~ What are you focusing on? Is it the crashing waves, or the “possibility” of sinking? Jesus wasn’t worried one bit! He woke up from a sweet sleep while all this commotion was going on. Look at what the word says:

Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee because he trusteth in thee. Isaiah 26:3

Jesus was focused on God, therefore he walked in peace. Peace helps us to think clearly when we face some sort of “reality”.

Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved. Psalm 55:22

Was Jesus moved in that situation? Not at all! Again He was calm. He “simply” rebuked the wind and water. Then the situation changed and there was a calm.

When thou liest down, thou shalt not be afraid: yea, thou shalt lie down, and thy sleep shall be sweet. Prov 3:24

Jesus wasn’t afraid to go to sleep no matter where he was. He definitely was having a “sweet sleep”.

Stay focused on God and you will be able to think clearly on what needs to be spoken when you face a storm in your life. You will be able to change the reality you face with the truth. Have a blessed day!
