What does your heart say

If thou shalt say in thine heart, these nations are more than I, how can I dispossess them? Deuteronomy 7:17

~ What do you really say in your heart when you face anything that may be challenging? It matters what you think. Your heart doesn’t lie! When the Israelites thought defeat in their hearts God could not work on their behalf.

Even today, often times people may say they have faith in God or believe it can happen but never see the results of God’s word in their life for a particular situation. It can be a life or death situation. God wants your heart! He wants you to be so focused on Him that you will automatically think about what His word says first. Then in logical sequence you speak it because that is what you have in your heart.

There are many times when we do have the right thoughts in our heart but later we destroy the power of the Word because we entertain the negative thoughts longer. We cause the word to be of no effect. As Paul told us in 2 Corinthians 10:4-5 ~ we hold those negative thoughts captive to the obedience of Christ. Use your scripture as a shield and destroy the fiery darts that are bombarding you. Sometimes you have to hold that shield longer than you thought but your result is victory. Say a scripture until you come into agreement with it if you have to but don’t give into the fear. The victory is yours. All you have to do is stand on the word with your heart!
